Those grove are at an altitude of about 80 meters above sea level with South to Southwest orientation and a moderate slope. Their soil consistency is Sandy clay loam and their pH 7 (neutral) ,which makes them perfect for olive tree cutlivation. They cover a surface of 0,70 hectars and have about 140 trees. They are owned by our family for about 10 years.

Recent history

Both plots were bought about 10 years ago to our family by some close friends who had recently inherited it. For quite some time until then the trees had be left on their own so it took quite some effort and love to bring them in their current state.

Future plans

Because of the breathtaking view and the small distance from the touristic village of Lefokastro these plots would be ideal for hosting some agrotourism events.

Olive oil characteristics

The extra virgin olive oil that we get with early harvest from this specific plot is very characteristic. It has a medium fruity flavor and medium bitterness and spiciness. At the same time other than the characteristic variety's aromas of green tomato leaves and almond someone can  distinguish very fresh aromas of lemon.
