The soil consistency is Sandy clay and its pH 7,5 (slightly alcalic) which makes it perfect for olive tree cutlivation. It covers a surface of 1,20 hectars and has about 160 trees. It is owned by our family enough in order not remember exactly when.
Some extra informations

Cultivars
This plot has only trees of the local Amfissis variety. Some of them have an age greater than a 100 years ld and it takes 3 people in order to hug their trunk.

Recent history
This plot was owned by our ancestors for a long time and in there you can also find some massive boulders which were used for a sheepfold which now is ruined.

Future plans
A big part of the plot is on the slope and is quite rocky which makes it hard to perform many cutlivation tasks. On the other hand on this part you can find a lot of indigenous wild thyme and wild levander plants which are natural insect repelllers. What we would like to achieve is use them in order to promote a natural pest control program.

Olive oil characteristics
The extra virgin olive oil that we get with early harvest from this specific plot has its own character. It has a medium fruity flavor with a light medium bitterness and spiciness. Other than the characteristic variety's aromas of green tomato leaves and almond someone can locate aromas of wild thyme and black pepper.
